Vineyard
Source is everything. We have great loamy soils with character. The soils are glacial moraines in the Maxwelton Valley. The microclimate is cool in the summer, allowing for the balanced acids and sugars. It is a marine climate. On an east facing slope, the Pinor Noir develops on cool morning temperatures and is better protected from afternoon heat. Our grapes are sourced solely from our estate vineyard. Our Pinot Noir reflects the terroir of our vineyard, with elegant and defined flavors and a well-balanced structure.
Sustainably grown is more than just a phrase to us. It is a commitment to grow our grapes using the best practices we know. Knowing that great wines ultimately come from healthy vinyards, we use no pesticides, synthetic chemical inputs and only practices that support living and healthy soils. We compost, plant cover crops and use other time-tested agricultural technques that support living, healthy soil and prevent damage to the ecosystems around us.
